Sharing Reasons Matters More than Sharing Conclusions
Isaiah 1:18 " Come now, let us reason together ," says the LORD ... There may be a million people who think like me, but I don’t know any of them. Everyone around me seems to think a different way. Everyone in my fa (posted by Tex 11 days 4 hours ago.)

INalienable or UNalienable as applied to Rights
I have to say, I had not thought much about the words that were part of that “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” phrase. I’m not sure when if ever I would have thought about it. I went to high school in the Washington DC area and saw the phrase carved into stone at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC, and they used the word INalienable . I saw in some places that people used... (posted by Tex 16 days 5 hours ago.)

How to know their real Political Values
It is easy to say what you believe, but what you say is not always the truth. Growing up in a fundamentalist church, when I think of a point to make I almost always think of Bible passages that make the point for me. Like: Matt. 7:20: By their fruits you shall know them. Nowhere is this true-er, than in politics. Recently the Republicans have said they do not have a war on women... (posted by Tex 18 days 21 hours ago.)

Compassion and the GOP
I believe firmly that there is a lack of compassion and an anti-Christian virus that has infected the Republican party. I know that this sounds odd since it is the GOP that has taken up some fundamentalist Christian positions like being opposed to homosexuality (and gay marriage, etc) as well as the Republican positions that oppose contraception, abortion, et cetera. But a brief look at the Paul Ryan... (posted by Tex 20 days 9 hours ago.)

When I was young: Here comes another story
“When I was young. . .” The more I consider the phrase the more reason I find for being delighted by the words. First, when I hear the phrase, “When I was young. . .” it is a signal that a story is coming, and I love stories. One of the most delightful aspects of life, comes from our stories. Obviously not every story is a great story, but if you are awed... (posted by Tex 190 days 22 hours ago.)

Yeah, Sure, I'm Fabulous
The word fab·u·lous comes from the Latin word fabulosus , which, in turn comes from another Latin word fibula . In our language the word first showed up in Middle English in the 15 th Century. You will notice the kernel word of Fabulous is fibula and fibula is also where we get our word fable . The first and second definitions given by my online Merriam-Webster Dictionary is as...
